Launch of RECLICKS by Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center & CLICKS Talk – PYC International Energy Conference 2025

The Launch of RECLICKS by Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) marked the official introduction of RECLICKS (Research for Climate Change and Knowledge Sharing) as PYC’s Center of Excellence dedicated to advancing climate finance research, knowledge exchange, capacity building, and policy advocacy in Indonesia. The launch was held as part of the PYC International Energy Conference (IEC) 2025, reflecting PYC’s commitment to supporting evidence-based policymaking and accelerating the country’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.

RECLICKS was established through the collaboration between Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center and the FINCAPES (Flood Impacts, Carbon Pricing, and Ecosystem Sustainability) Project led by the University of Waterloo, Canada. The initiative aims to strengthen Indonesia’s capacity in climate finance by fostering high-quality research, promoting policy dialogue, and facilitating collaboration among government institutions, academia, industry, and development partners.

Following the launch ceremony, the event featured the inaugural CLICKS Talk entitled “Leading Energy Security – Building Leadership for Sustainability and Economic Growth”. The discussion highlighted the importance of leadership, international collaboration, and evidence-based policy in addressing energy security challenges while supporting sustainable economic development and the global energy transition. The program also featured remarks from representatives of Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center, the Government of Canada, and the FINCAPES Project, underscoring the shared commitment to strengthening climate finance cooperation between Indonesia and Canada.
